Return to God With All Your Heart

Lent is a season in which we journey together during the forty days of Lent (from Ash Wednesday to Easter) practicing more deeply our spiritual disciples so as to return to God with all our hearts. Traditionally Christians would choose to partake in a fast by giving something up, paired with a renewed commitment to praying three times daily. These works of discipline have for thousands of years served as a means by which people could deepen their relationship with God and prepare themselves to more fully experience the significance of Jesus’ radical act of love on the cross. We believe that we are saved by God’s grace. This journey is one in which we place ourselves once again on the path to salvation. The pathway of salvation begins when we respond to God’s call and continues through the process of repentance, reconciliation with God and one another, and professing boldly that Jesus is the King of our lives and ruler of our hearts.
