Youth Sunday and
SouperBowl Of Caring
On February 4th, the SouperBowl of Caring Sunday, our Faithful Friday students participated in our worship service. After worship the students helped to serve soup to the congregation who so generously gave to help support the Chester Food Pantry and the Warwick Food Pantry. This year the students collected 158 items and $250 which will be split between the two food pantries. Thank you to all who so generously gave.
Baby Shower for Our Pastor
On Wednesday, February 21, the congregation threw a baby shower for it's pastor, Susan Chupungco, who is expecting her first child with husband, Angelo. Baby Chupungco received many wonderful gifts and books and the mama-to-be had a great time (even when she had to wear the traditional bow & ribbon hat).
It's a Boy!
Congratulations to our pastor, Susan Chupungco and her husband, Angelo, on the birth of their baby boy today.

Sugar Loaf Church Fair is an Annual Tradition
Posted on September 10, 2018 by Warwick Dispatch
The Sugar Loaf United Methodist Church, located at 1387 Kings Hwy. in Sugar Loaf will host its 103rd annual Church Fair on Sat., Sept. 15 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., rain or shine. For so many people the annual fair has been a day to visit with friends and neighbors and to support the “community” church.
Good things to eat have been a big part of every Fair and this year will certainly offer something for everyone’s taste. There will be dozens of homemade delicious pies along with home-baked breads, cakes, cookies, homemade candy, jams and jellies, and gifts in a jar. Sandwiches and homemade chili will be available for lunch at the snack bar.
The Church has an active and dedicated group of crafters who work throughout the year, making each of the items for sale at the Fair. Old-fashioned fancywork will include hand knit sweaters and accessories, American Girl doll furniture, Noah’s arks, baby items, and denim rag rugs. There will be a nice selection of holiday decorations for Thanksgiving, Halloween, and Christmas.
The pet shop will feature dog sweaters and toys for the four legged friends. The white elephant booth is sure to offer many treasures for very little money and shoppers always enjoy browsing through the boxes of used books. Items for sale are handcrafted and homemade by members and friends of the Sugar Loaf United Methodist Church and all proceeds from the Fair support the ministries of the Church.
Come visit the fair and see why this traditional event has endured for more than one hundred years. For more information, call Jane Gareiss 986-4557.
